NMD3, G.167. 2.00gr This exceptional rarity is something you do not see every day. The Norwegian coinage during the early medieval period was not very high tech, to say the least, and the coins disappeared or got lost over time. Here we can present an uncirculated coin of the date, and is probably one of the finest obtainable. Full mint lustre, yet weakly strike as you would expect from a hammered coin of this era. The date is fully visible, which is not always the case. Ex. Oslo Myntgalleri 30-1099 (as 1+) (hammer 50k+20%), Ex. Kjøpt av Pouplier, Svendborg 28/10-1969 We believe this was an under grading of the coin, as the lustre is intact, and there are no real visible wear. NOTE! NOT TO BE SOLD OUT OF NORWAY!
